The First Poetry Entry

Here are two poems that I scribbled out during one particularly long English class this spring

Time

Time goes on
But she is trapped in the same minute
Each day as before
Ever the same
At the beginning
Time stretched so far
And now
Towards the end
Time moves ever slower
Yet quickly as a ray of light
Today
Yesterday
Tomorrow
For her
They differ in name only
Each day as before
Stuck in that which moves her ahead
Time

Rose

The voices blend
Male
Female
Teacher
Student
All are one
A group of many
But only are one
Their claims of diversity
Only make them the same
Hope
Their are few
With shapes wrong for the world
Roses in a field of daisies
Hope
In grouping together
To form a beautiful bush of thorns
To prick the daisies with new life
Hope
New awareness comes with a puncture
Blood is drawn
Purity is lost
Hope?
I hope it doesn't hurt too much

*Please keep in mind that both of these poems were written while I was in a very depressed/bored state of mind. My happy poetry is much different
